BJ's Alabama BBQ: The Best Southern BBQ Experience in Tampa

BJ’s Alabama Barbecue was excellent — and that’s saying a lot coming from a Kansas City native! The ribs were smoked to perfection, the pulled pork was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the chicken was downright delightful. The mac and cheese and coleslaw made great side dishes. The service was truly the best of the best. I’ll definitely be back — many times!

Not bad at all . My only complaint is i wish the sauce was on the side. Felt like my plate was a bit oversauced. Ill kno to ask next time. Good place though.

I had the Ribs with Beans and Corn bread. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. There was a nice smoky flavor and a wet BBQ sauce on them. I would highly recommend. The Beans were too sweat, more like Boston baked beans than what I’d expect at a BBQ restaurant. The corn bread was fine if not great (a little dry).

People overuse the word “best”, not in this case. Best BBQ in Tampa. It’s that place that looks like a hole in the wall but has amazing food. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and it’s all exceptional. Though my favorite is the ribs. The people are incredibly nice and prices are great. Small town feel in the city.

Great BBQ food and great customer service. We had the beef and ribs. Both meats were great and the homemade BBQ sauce had great flavor. Side portions were good as well. Definitely will be back again.

The best BBQ in Tampa! They know how to do barbecue. Do yourself a favor and ask them to put a little hot sauce in the barbecue sauce! The pulled pork and the ribs are juicy. Tasty potato salad and green beans. I would recommend to all my friends.

5 Stars!! For various reasons. Let’s start with the cleanliness of the establishment The ladies who serve are absolutely amazing! This is a place with great energy!! I had bottom brisket sandwich with a side of macaroni!! Not my mama’s but still amazing!! I recommend the lemonade!!!

My son was having a tantrum as we entered and we thought about leaving and coming back later, but immediately he was offered a juice and crisis averted. We shared a chicken and beef plate that came with 2 sides and a choice of bread. We went for corn bread and it literally melts in your mouth. My son had the chicken (normally he’s not huge on proteins but he devoured it) he ate and enjoyed bbq sauce for the first time. Definitely get the beans and slaw and I wish I could try them all, but I will next time. We just moved in nearby. Lucky us. $20 including a drink and we are FULL and happy.
